Arts Mentorship Program

Calling all York Region Artists!

The York Region Arts Council is excited to announce the call for applications for our Arts Mentorship Program. Artists of all disciplines and career levels are welcome to apply. Whether you are an emerging, mid-career, or established artist, we want to provide you with a mentorship opportunity with an expert in your industry.

The Arts Mentorship Program will be a chance for artists in York Region to connect, learn, and grow through one-on-one mentorship with an experienced artist within their discipline. YRAC has identified a need for community building and professional development opportunities for artists in York Region. Through this program, we want to connect artists to provide a platform for learning and growth in the community.

Artists seeking mentorship (Mentees) will be paired with a mentor who has experience in the area in which they seek mentorship.

Program Goals:

  • create connections within the York Region arts community
  • pair like-minded individuals to work with one another
  • offer support for local artists in all disciplines, including but not limited to: Performance Arts, Visual and Media Arts (including Film/Video), Dance, Music, Multidisciplinary, Crafts, Theatre and Literary Arts
  • build a network of strong arts professionals and leaders in York Region
  • develop future artists and build the arts community in York Region
