Culture Days at Brampton Public Library

Culture Days @ the Library is an opportunity to create exciting and accessible programming for local communities while connecting libraries to the larger Culture Days network. Beyond literary events many libraries regularly host art exhibitions, music, theatre and dance performances, craft workshops, film screenings and so much more. For these reasons, public libraries are the ideal partners to present and host Culture Days activities across the province! Artists interested in taking part in Culture Days @ the Library are invited to submit a proposal. NookFEST is a community arts + music festival in Toronto’s East end, featuring unique, hand-made crafts and the talented, dedicated artisans who make them. NookFEST’s mission is to bring community residents and the arts together to celebrate hand-made excellence, music, food, and supporting local. Wild for the Arts

We are currently inviting vendors to join us there for this unique event. The Festival gives artists and artisans of all disciplines the opportunity to share, display and sell their work in an outdoor environment surrounded by MacGregor Point Park’s autumn beauty. DUC National Art Portfolio

For more than 30 years, through our portfolio, Ducks Unlimited Canada built relationships with established and emerging artists, that has enabled us to continue to conserve wetlands while promoting exceptional artwork. Each year we invite artists such as yourself to submit work for consideration to be used within our Portfolio. The selected images are reproduced lithographically and sold only through our DUC events and channels. Monies raised go to our conservation and educational goals. We accept the best in outdoor art, including waterfowl, wildlife, dogs, horses as well as landscapes, nostalgia, still lifes, portraits, cityscapes and even abstracts. Learn more.

JOLT! Art Fair

TAVES (JOLT! Art Fair), which is being promoted as “Canada’s Ultimate Consumer Electronics Show” has moved to the International Centre this year and is scheduled for the weekend of October 12th – 14th. The audio-video-arts event has expanded over the past few years to include interactive robotic workshops for children, digital illustration and art, plus creative VR, with an expectation of over 10,000 consumers. Open Studio Exhibition Submissions

Open Studio is an artist-run printmaking centre that presents a wide range of print media-based works from traditional to experimental, including work that, although not produced using traditional printmaking techniques, shares through its conceptual concerns a relationship to printmaking. Accepted formats include: 2 and 3-dimensional works, bookworks, digital and multi-media installation-based work. Proposals by individual artists, groups and curators will be considered. Learn more

The Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TO DO) brings people together to celebrate contemporary design across the city January 18-27, 2019.

Join the Festival to become a part of an exciting network of creative people, exhibitions, events, and a captive audience of designers and design-lovers. Last year we had 100+ events and exhibitions across the city, 140K+ visitors, 95+ million press impressions, and 500+ million total brand impressions. National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society 2018 Fall International Online Exhibition 

Deadline: November 4th, 2018

This NOAPS exhibition is open to all artists 18 and over worldwide who paint in oil or acrylic. NOAPS membership is not required. $2400.00 in cash awards and 20 non-monetary awards. $30.00 for submitting 1 image and $10.00 for each additional image up to a maximum of 5 images. Learn more.

2017-2018 Exhibition at Queen/Saulter Library

The Queen/Saulter Library is pleased to provide space for art exhibits in a beautiful historic building. Artists are invited to submit their work for possible exhibition during the 2017-2018 exhibit season. Works in all media, including photography (no sculptures) will be considered. Selected artists are given three-month showings. Artists or groups of artists selected to exhibit will pay a $20 plus HST exhibition fee at the time of installation. Office of Beaches-East York MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith

The MP of Beaches-East York, Nathaniel Erskine-Smith invites artists to display their artwork in his constituency office at 1902 Danforth Avenue. No commission will be taken for sale of the work. Artists are encouraged to provide a price card with contact information, local art group (if applicable), and price of the piece. Art work will be displayed in meeting rooms where clients, community members, and leaders will be invited on a regular basis. Artists are asked to send pictures of their work via email for a preview (with sizes), though there is no jury selection process. Artwork will be displayed in quarterly installments (3 month period), and is to be hung and removed by the artist. Artists are welcome to visit the space beforehand, and are invited to contact the office to make arrangements for displaying their work. The Varley Art Gallery of Markham - Artist Level Membership

Auditions are for our Competitive/Performance Sector. Being part of this sector, dancers will... receive high quality dance training from professional instructors and choreographers, work on skills and technique, work on + create choreography toward dance performances, festivals and competitions/battles, as well as a year end show. There is also a strong focus on dance professionalisms such as stage presence, body awareness, complex formations and transitions, and expression. Wavestage Theatre Company- Casting Call Musical Theatre

We are thrilled to be booking auditions for 24th season. Auditions for West Side Story will be held in October 2018 and the performances will take place in April of 2019. All actors are requested to prepare TWO contrasting musical theatre songs (32 bars). You may be asked to read some sides in your audition. Please bring a resume and recent headshot. Wavestage is interested in performers of all ages, skillsets, ethnicities, size and gender.
