Maryam Ebrahimi Participates in Richmond Hill Studio Tour

Maryam Embrahimi will be exhibiting in Richmond Hill’s Studio Tour on October 14 and 15. The show runs from 10am to 5pm on both days and Maryam’s work will be located at 18 Heirloom Street , Richmond Hill, ON L4E 4X7.

This is the 15th anniversary of the Richmond Hill Studio Tour and Maryam’s third year participating. The Studio Tour features over 45 artists from Richmond Hill and area. There truly is something available to everyone, with a wide assortment of paintings, jewelry, pottery and more.

Artist Input Session | TRCA Spaces

You are invited to engage in a facilitated dialogue around how Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) and the York Region Arts Council (YRAC) together can build a more vibrant and inclusive York Region by inviting more arts and culture into TRCA’s spaces.

We would like to hear your ideas on how TRCA's sites, greenspaces and facilities in York Region can be utilized and redeveloped in ways that enable you to serve your clients and the arts community at large. The session will be highly interactive and incorporate individual as well as group exercises. 

York Region Artists With Impact: Sean Cisterna

Sean Cisterna is a York Region-based film director. He directed the YTV musical King of the Camp. His 2011 feature film road trip comedy Moon Point played the international festival circuit to great success, winning several awards. His 2015 project Full Out, starring the iconic Jennifer Beals, is a feature based on the true story of gymnast Ariana Berlin, and is currently on Netflix worldwide. He is currently working with TLN Television/Corus Entertainment on he new preschool series My Name is Ripley, to be broadcast nationally in 2017.

Kiss and Cry is a romantic drama based on the story of Carley Allison, a promising 18 year old figure skater and singer who made medical history in her fight against a rare 1 in 3.5 billion type of cancer. The film stars Luke Bilyk, Chantal Kreviazuk, Naomi Sneickus and Sarah Fisher as Carley. Sarah Fisher and Carley Allison were best friends in real life.
