Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre Events

Join us at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre on Thursday, July 18 for our Teddy Bear Tea!  The tea will run from 10am to 11:30am.  Your children and their favourite teddy bears will enjoy a morning of bear-themed activities, including a story, craft, and a snack!  Recommended for ages 3 to 8 and pre-registration is required.  Go to wsmuseum.ca for more info!

The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre has an exciting new exhibit coming up!  Archaeology Alive: The Jean Baptiste Lainé Site and Whitchurch-Stouffville will explore the amazing archaeological site that was uncovered in Whitchurch-Stouffville between 2003 and 2005.  You will engage with artifacts on loan from the Canadian Museum of History and the Huron-Wendat Museum, a 3-D gaming experience, and oral histories from Huron-Wendat nation members.  Follow www.facebook.com/WSMuseum/ for updates. 

The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre is offering themed summer camps each week of summer!!  The camps are for children ages 5-12 and they run Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.  Before and after care are available.  Go to www.townofws.ca/museum for more info!

Come to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre on Sunday, August 11th for the 46th Annual Antique & Classic Car Show!  The Car Show will run from 11am to 4pm.  Exhibitors from across southern Ontario will display their prized antique & classic cars!  This family event includes food vendors, music and children & heritage activities.  Go to www.townofws.ca/museum for more info!

Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre Events

Hop on in to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre for Easter Hoppenings on Saturday, April 20th!  The program will run from 1 – 2:30pm and is recommended for children ages 3 to 10.  They will go on an Easter egg hunt, decorate a sugar cookie and create a work of art!  Pre-registration is required.  Go to wsmuseum.ca for more info.

Celebrate International Museum Day with FREE admission to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre on Saturday, May 18!  The Museum will have an Open House and will offer FREE admission from 12-4pm.  Learn about all the facility has to offer – rentals, summer camps, exhibits, events and programs.  Go to wsmuseum.ca for more info!

Come to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre to view the Exhibit: A Stitch in Time.  Enjoy examples of intricate hand stitched samplers from the Museum’s collection.  The exhibit will run from February 5th through April 27th and is included with general admission.  Go to wsmuseum.ca for more info!
