Diane Pugen — artist, curator, professor, and a very close friend of Joyce Wieland — will guide participants through a two-day watercolour course to uncover natural landscapes, personal stories and shared histories that inspire and provoke.
Entering its 8th year, Rhythmfest is Barrie’s annual festival that celebrates the universal language of rhythm. This highly interactive festival features musicians and dancers presenting diverse music and dance genres. Rhythmfest 2017 will be held on the picturesque waterfront of Heritage Park in downtown Barrie on August 18th and 19th. As part of its ongoing commitment to serving Simcoe County, on August 18th at Heritage Park, Rhythmfest will again present an educators workshop at NO CHARGE and open to all. The workshop will be followed by a free concert featuring The Imbayakunas and a traditional Flamenco concert. All are welcome.
